Observatory Night Experience - Student

Take a trip to the summit…and beyond! Guests will be able to experience the new observatory and planetarium, atop Snow King Mountain.  Step inside our state-of-the-art facility and prepare to be mesmerized by captivating astronomical displays, immersive multimedia experiences, and live presentations led by our guides.  Whether you’re a seasoned stargazer or a curious novice, there’s something here for everyone to marvel at and explore.  Head up to the Snow King Observatory and Planetarium to check in with your ticket for unique programming all about space!  Come early and enjoy dinner at the Aurora restaurant; schedule your dinner reservation on Resy.  

A nighttime experience includes hands-on astronomy and space activities.  View the universe through the 1-meter observatory-class telescope and smaller telescopes on our observing deck.  Image galaxies, star clusters, and nebulae in our control center or take a night sky tour in the planetarium.  Your ticket also provides access to view the Solar System on our captivating Science On a Sphere exhibit, plus more. Expand your mind with amazing views and astrophysics at the King!  

Note: We reserve the right to cancel and reschedule an evening when there are five or fewer tickets purchased.

This ticket is for the 9 pm to 10:30 pm session. Please see the Observatory Late Night option for the 10:30 pm to 12 am (midnight) session for even more stargazing - available June 14, 2025 – August 17, 2025!!

Please arrive at the base of the gondola at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time so that you can maximize your time at the facility on the mountaintop. At the end of the night experience, you will ride the gondola back down to the base of the mountain.  Below are the scheduled times:

• May 15, 2025 – June 13, 2025 – only one session: 

  • 9 pm until 10:30 pm 

• June 14, 2025 – August 17, 2025 – two sessions:

  •  9 pm until 10:30 pm

  • 10:30 pm until 12am (midnight) (see: Observatory Late Night ticket option)

• August 18, 2025 – August 31, 2025 – only one session:

  •  9 pm until 10:30 pm

• September 1, 2025 – September 28, 2025 – only one session:

  • 8 pm until 9:30 pm
